EUFAMI is an on-line resource for people with severe mental illness, their families and friends. EUFAMI was founded in 1990 at a congress in Belgium where carers from all over Europe resolved to work together to help both themselves and the people for whom they care. The organisation has an ongoing commitment to improving care and welfare for people affected by mental illness. It also provides a platform for member organisations to act jointly at a european level. The site contains many relevant articles and fact sheets on schizophrenia.

The National Institute of Mental Health (NIMH) is one of 27 components of the National Institutes of Health (NIH) - the United States Federal government's principal biomedical and behavioural research agency. NIH is part of the US Department of Health and Human Services. The NIMH mission is to reduce the burden of mental illness and behavioural disorders through research on mind, brain, and behaviour. NIMH funds research by scientists across the US as well as for NIMH studies in the research programme. Through its extramural programme, NIMH supports more than 2,000 research grants and contracts at universities and other institutions across the country and overseas.

The site contains articles on all aspects of life with schizophrenia, as well as related news items. The site also has discussion and chat boards on various topics, as well as national discussion groups from across the world. 

Rethink

Rethink is the largest severe mental illness charity in the UK, and aims to improve the lives of all those affected by severe mental illness, whether as sufferer, carer, or healthcare worker/professional. Rethink provides a range of community services including employment projects, supported housing, day services, helplines, residential care, and respite centers.
